Welcome to nback.js!
After clicking begin, position your index fingers on the a and l keys. Squares will flash in one of 8 positions on the screen while simultaneously, one of 8 consonants will be spoken auditorily. Press the 'a' key when a visual cue matches the one presented 'n' times before. Press the 'l' key when an audio cue matches one 'n' times before. For example, if you hear 'k', 'f', 'k' press 'l' after hear ing the second 'k'. nback.js will report your score to you at the end of each ~1 minute block, and if you scored well, n will be increased by 1.
nback.js exactly matches the original dual n-back psychological study. As such, each block will contain six audio targets and six visual targets. Twice, these targets will be diplayed simultaneously.
